The job

As a trainee at Fortimedix Surgical, you will get the opportunity to develop advanced medical devices in order to enable next generation surgical procedures. You will gain knowledge and experience covering the full engineering domain of product and process development from conceptual design up to market introduction and scale-up.

In a team of engineers, you will work on design, development and testing of surgical instruments and its related manufacturing processes. You will improve product performance and manufacturability by calculating, modelling, prototyping and testing. Additionally, by developing processes to a world-class performance level by means of lean six sigma, you will optimize cost and consistency. Furthermore, you will get the chance to master high-tech manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, assembly and (optical) measurement.

During the traineeship, you will be part of our talented team of specialists and you will learn from our experts who will help you to develop yourself towards your role as Manufacturing or Research and Development Engineer. In order to compose a personal development plan, which fits your profile and ambitions, an extensive introduction program and assessment are part of the traineeship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Industrial Engineering or similar
• Mastering the English language
• A maximum of 3 years of work experience
